It's hard to believe that we are already in the second month of school. We have been busy learning many different things: counting, patterning, fiction vs. non-fiction, dinosaurs and how to be active listeners. In Social Studies in Grade 2, students learn about Traditions and Celebrations. October is a month full of special days. We are beginning by discussing the customs around birthday celebrations. One of our favourite story characters, Scaredy Squirrel has his birthday on Friday. Today your child is bringing home a paper to fill in with ideas about how you celebrate birthdays in your home. Please help your child fill in the paper and return it to the class by Friday. Thanks! Mrs. Moynihan | |
